Framed in an oval of zinc, the roseate spoonbill is made with hand rolled pink, rose, and creamsicle glass. All the pieces are hand cut and shaped, copper foil wrapped and soldered together.
The background is transparent art glass with faint striations (lines) and shows the bird wading in waters waiting for that next meal.
The spoonbill can be seen as close as the Florida coast and is a wading bird similar to the Flamingo.
Ready to hang, this window will be a bright and colorful addition to any room. It would be beautiful in a sunroom or a focal point in a living room.
